circle rules
When it comes to our kids and our coaches, we all get a little protective...
These rules have been designed to ensure that everyone has the best time with Soccerhood
covid-19
All coaches, players and parents are expected to wear a face mask or visor for the duration of a soccer circle
A distance of at least 1,5m must be maintained between the coach, all players and parents at all times
Players will be asked to sanitize their hands before and during the circle
circles
Circles aim to start promptly and run for a duration of 40 minutes, with 2 water breaks in-between
Besides the coach, only children between the ages of 3 and 8 are allowed to play in a soccer circle (unless the coach - at his/her discretion - invites parents or siblings to join in)
Each circle is allowed a maximum of 8 players. An extra coach is required for every 8 additional players.
parents'/guardians' responsibilities
By allowing your child to participate in a Soccerhood Circle, you as their parent (or guardian) hereby indemnify and save Soccerhood and its partners harmless from and against any and all claims, liability, loss, expenses, suits, damages, judgments, demands, and costs (including reasonable legal fees and expenses) arising out of any accident, injury or death to persons, or loss of or damage to property, or fines and penalties which may result, in whole or in part, by such participation
Please pack a water bottle (and healthy snack if you like!) for your child
Please dress your child appropriately - they will not be permitted to join the circle unless they are wearing closed shoes
Don't forget the suncream - usually best applied 20 mins before the circle starts
Be mindful that you will be meeting in a public space - please be considerate of other park users
Parents are asked to please remain on the circle side-lines and show your support from there, unless you are invited to join in by the coach. However, it'd be great if you could calmly step in if your little one (or the coach!) seems to be dealing with more than what they can handle
It goes without saying - please be respectful towards the coach, the players and other parents at all times. Importantly, it is your job to make sure that your child is too
In the event that a child causes ongoing disruption to a circle, they may be asked to leave. The child's parents are asked to respect the coach's decision in this instance - should any conflict arise from the situation, parents are asked to kindly send their statement to hello@soccerhood.com for investigation and comment
Coaches are not babysitters - please do not leave your child(ren) at a circle without designating full responsibility of that child to a trusted adult
Although we validate all coaches before they are able to run a soccer circle, our coaches operate as independent agents - we rely hugely on your ratings to ensure a quality experience for all. We encourage you to give credit where it is due or let a coach know where and how they can improve their service for the benefit of other players and parents
bookings and payments
Soccerhood operates with an online booking schedule - you can secure your child's place at a weekly circle by booking online. On the day bookings are also possible, where payment is facilitated in person via Yoco or Snapscan - these bookings are more expensive and subject to availability
Bookings are non-transferable and non-refundable unless a circle is cancelled by Soccerhood due to insufficient players attending
